Outline for Romeo and Juliet Essay

Introduction

• Throughout studying Romeo and Juliet I have seen that Romeo's strengths and weaknesses  to do actions with consequences towards himself and others.
• Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is one of the most famous plays ever written and tells the story of two teens in love that are faced with conflicts.

Body Paragraph 1

• Romeo does things that cause consequences towards him and affect others
• When Romeo kills Tybalt, it shows a strength (that he was a good enough fighter to beat Tybalt) but also a weakness which is that he wasn't able to let it go and think about what consequences could come.
• this shows that although Romeo was justified, his strengths/weaknesses led him to actions where he suffered consequences.

Body Paragraph 2

• By Romeo falling in love with Juliet, it shows a weakness because Romeo was eventually aware that Juliet was Capulet, and instead of letting her go he consistently pursued his relationship with her.
• Romeo does this by seeing her on the balcony, and then by eventually marrying her.
• this shows that Romeo's weakness was his love for Juliet

Body Paragraph 3

• Another weakness of Romeo is that he couldn't live without Juliet in his life.
• Romeo kills himself in the end, which is a weakness because he could have chosen to live without Juliet, but he thought that he needed her to live, which lead him to death.
• this shows me that Romeo is very sensitive/needs companionship.

Conclusion

• This shows that people should be cautious of their weaknesses/strengths, because if they become too influential they can cause consequences.
